The Centre & What We Offer

We’re based at Altrincham Kersal Rugby Club in Timperley, giving us a strong local home and great links with schools and families in the area.

At Timperley DofE we offer the full DofE journey:

  • Bronze Award – a great starting point for those new to expeditions.

  • Silver Award – a step up in challenge, distance and independence.

  • Gold Award – the ultimate DofE experience for those who really want to stretch themselves.

Our expeditions take place in some of the best walking country in the UK, including:

  • The Lake District

  • The Peak District

  • The Forest of Bowland

  • The Yorkshire Dales

We provide:

  • Structured training and preparation evenings

  • Qualified, experienced leaders and supervisors

  • Carefully planned routes and safety procedures

  • Advice on kit and equipment (plus access to centre kit where possible)

  • A supportive atmosphere that balances challenge with encouragement

For parents: our focus is always on safety, wellbeing and personal development. We plan meticulously so that young people can take on real responsibility while staying within a well-managed framework.

For participants: expect to work hard, laugh a lot, get tired, feel proud and come home with great stories.
