The Duke of Edinburgh's Award offers three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each level builds skills, confidence, and resilience through Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Expedition sections. Explore each level to find the right starting point for your journey.
Discover Your Award Journey
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a personal development programme for young people aged 14–24. It helps you build confidence, resilience, and skills for life and work.You can start at any level, though many begin with Bronze. Each level includes four sections: Volunteering, Physical, Skills, and Expedition. Gold also includes a Residential.
Choose Your Level
Bronze Award: Ages 14+ | Minimum 6 months. Start here. Bronze introduces the programme and helps you develop new interests and skills. Perfect for those new to DofE.
Silver Award: Ages 15+ | Minimum 6 months (12 if you haven't completed Bronze). Build on your experience. Silver offers more challenge and deeper personal development.
Gold Award: Ages 16+ | Minimum 12 months (18 if you haven't completed Silver). The highest level. Gold includes a Residential and is recognised by employers and universities.
